EBP Education Series and Curriculum

Below are the slides used in the educational session, "Advancing Evidence-Based Practice," which is held 2-3 times per year. This four-hour training session has trained on average 50 inter-professional participants per session. Program faculty included Tam Nguyen, RN, PhD, MSN/MPH, and Lisa Liang Philpotts, RN, BSN, MLS, Knowledge Specialist for Research & Instruction, Treadwell Virtual Library.

• Developing an Answerable PICO Question and Conducting a Systematic Literature Review
• Where's the Evidence? Searching for Internal & External Evidence
• Appraising the Literature: Level & Quality of Evidence
• Synthesizing the Evidence and Translating EBP Recommendations into Practice

Continuing education credits are offered to participants.
